I am Mary, owner of Spinning Magic, a business at Anoka Fiber Works dedicated to the spinning of fiber into yarn. I find the whole process of taking a fleece from an animal and spinning it into beautiful yarn, magical. I have been a spinner for many years. In 2009, with help and blessing from Detta of Detta's Spindle, I started Spinning Magic as a home based business.

 In a short time I met many wonderful people with diverse interests in the fiber arts.  Spinning Magic has grown at Anoka Fiber Works. Along with selling spinning wheels, ball winders, drum and hand carders, I am proud to sell a variety of  spindles, Lazy Kates, Niddy Noddies and other spinning tools handcrafted by my husband Rob.

As coordinator of Anoka Fiber Works, I am proud to work with such a diverse and talented group of fiber enthusiasts. Whether farmer or artist, each brings their own unique vision, expertise and experiences to our fiber community. As we gather here at Anoka Fiber Works there is never a shortage of creativity, inspiration, encouragement and help. As a result I have continued to grow, delve deeper and challenge myself to learn new aspects of the fiber arts.
